Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Lead Unit Secretary/ED Director or delegate, assists in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing station by performing clerical  duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area.  Perform Clerical duties as requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School graduate or equivalent.  Three years unit secretary experience.  Understanding and

familiarity with medical terminology.  Typing skills at 40 words per minute.   Basic Computer skills.  Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and staff.  Attends annual updates or education days or in-service.  Successfully completes annual unit-based competencies, including Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training.

• Estimated pay is based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable).
