Position Summary
The RN/LPN Unit Manager is responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting quality outcomes, and maintaining a supportive and professional work environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and a commitment to resident advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily nursing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality resident care
Monitor clinical standards and implement quality improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies
Provide direct nursing care as needed to support residents’ medical, physical, and emotional needs
Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff to promote accountability and professional growth
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care plans
Uphold the facility’s commitment to dignity, compassion, and excellence in care
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Vermont
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting preferred
Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills
