Job Summary:
Winland Foods is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Unit/Marketing Intern to join our team. The intern will support the corporate team in various key functions, including market research, product development, operational support, and cross-departmental projects. This internship offers hands-on experience in understanding the business strategies behind food manufacturing and exposure to a broad range of activities within a corporate setting.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Market Research and Analysis: Assist in gathering and analyzing market data, trends, and customer preferences. Support the team in identifying new market opportunities for product innovation and growth.
  • Product Development Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and sales to assist in the development of new products or the optimization of existing product lines. Support in drafting project plans, timelines, and product launch strategies.
  • Operational Assistance: Assist the Corporate Business Unit Manager with day-to-day operations, including production scheduling, supply chain coordination, and inventory management. Support in streamlining processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, sales, and marketing teams to gather data and insights that impact overall business unit performance. Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Maintain databases and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the Corporate Business Unit. Assist with data entry, tracking project progress, and creating presentations for senior management.
  • Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks as needed, such as preparing documents, coordinating meetings, and managing communications for the business unit.

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Overall and within major GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Formal orientation and on-boarding
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A passion for the food industry and a keen interest in corporate operations and business strategy.
