Unit Manager RN or LPN

Job Summary:

Aviata at Greenacres is seeking a compassionate and experienced Unit Manager RN or LPN to join our family! As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for managing the staffing needs and providing supervision for nursing staff, ensuring quality resident care on the assigned unit. If you are a team-oriented, driven, and excited about building a culture of care, then we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

• Manage staffing needs and provide supervision for nursing staff, providing direct resident care to ensure quality resident care on the assigned unit
• Assist in staff development and provide guidance to Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants
• Conduct and document complete data collection of each resident's medical status upon admission and throughout treatment
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for assigned residents
• Assist in recruiting and hiring nursing staff
• Monitor compliance with resident record documentation requirements, as directed
• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage
• Ensure compliance with resident rights policies and work with families and other staff as needed to resolve grievances
• Complete Preceptor Training and provide innovative, responsible healthcare

Qualifications:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as an RN or LPN
• Minimum (3) years nursing experience preferred in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility; minimum one (1) year experience in nursing administration
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
