Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations, assessments, and diagnoses for patients seeking urgent care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, lab results, and EKGs to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Triage patients effectively to manage flow within the clinic and minimize wait times.
  • Perform a variety of procedures, including digital blocks, regional anesthesia, minor surgical interventions, and closed reductions for simple fractures or dislocations.
  • Operate autonomously as the sole provider, overseeing clinic operations and providing guidance to advanced practice clinicians.
  • Engage with patients and their families, delivering education on health management and preventative care.
  • Lead the review of daily tasks, patient callbacks, and lab results while maintaining patient confidentiality and providing excellent service.
  • Initiate IV fluids and manage therapeutic procedures such as aspirations and joint injections.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as Nurse Practitioner, you will provide care to a varied patient demographic, primarily focusing on students but also supporting faculty and staff. You will treat a wide array of urgent medical conditions, from minor injuries to acute illnesses, requiring a broad understanding of pediatric and adult healthcare. Your empathic approach will be paramount in dealing with young patients, ensuring they feel safe and understood during their visits.

Qualifications
  • A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Florida.
  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care, ER, or a similar healthcare setting.
  • Current national NP certification and a valid DEA number.
  • Experience in managing patients across all age groups.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing (BSN/MSN) is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
