This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to engage with clients from the comfort of your own home. While your primary responsibility will be remote therapy, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility required based on client needs. • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments by utilizing a range of evidence-based practices and solution-focused interventions to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
• Implement and facilitate therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring alignment with clinical best practices and patient-centered methodologies.
• Maintain meticulous, accurate, and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards, ensuring comprehensive documentation of client interactions and treatment progress.
• Collaborate closely with your treatment team, participating in regular case consultations and peer-review meetings to continuously enhance the quality of care we deliver.
• Educate and support clients and their families, providing crucial insights into mental health conditions and available community resources to equip them for success outside of therapy.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health practices to bring innovative solutions to our clients and improve therapeutic outcomes.

As a Mental Health Therapist at New Horizon, you will provide services primarily to clients battling substance dependence alongside mental health challenges. You will work with individuals who are seeking recovery and who require nuanced psychological support as part of their detoxification process. This dual-focus enhances the complexity and significance of your role, as you will help clients navigate both their mental health and addiction recovery journeys.

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of an active, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.
• Demonstrated ability to apply solution-based psychotherapy interventions and techniques, adapting your approach to best meet the diverse needs of each individual.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, families, and colleagues alike.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities to navigate the complexities of client needs and treatment planning.

• Direct experience working within a detox or substance abuse treatment environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the therapeutic techniques and modalities relevant to trauma-centered care and addiction recovery.
• Proven track record of managing a full caseload while maintaining quality therapeutic relationships with clients.
