Work Environment

This role offers a unique remote work setting, allowing you to provide support and therapy to students from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a flexible schedule. Our typical work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some evening or weekend hours occasionally necessary to accommodate client needs. This flexibility enables you to better align with the unpredictable schedule of school environments and the availability of students seeking support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for clients experiencing major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders, specifically tailored to the school environment.
  • Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to collaborative care strategies aimed at achieving shared objectives for student mental health.
  • Demonstrate respectful and effective communication while working with students, parents, educators, and support staff to foster a supportive therapy experience.
  • Advocate for and implement changes within the school system that promote mental health awareness, encourage student well-being, and facilitate a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain strict adherence to ethical guidelines and professional standards set by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and Polaris Psychotherapy Services to ensure the highest level of care.
  • Utilize the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system for documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with organizational policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents who may be facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Social Work, with a current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation in the state of Georgia is required.
