Metal Stud Framer (Union Commercial)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Metal Stud Framer to join our commercial construction team. In this role, you will build the metal frameworks for commercial walls, ceilings, and bulkheads. You will work from blueprints to ensure structures are built precisely to code, safe, and ready for drywall installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret structural drawings, architectural layouts, and specifications accurately.
  • Layout Work: Use lasers, levels, plumb bobs, and chalk lines to lay out wall lines and track locations.
  • Cutting & Shaping: Measure and cut metal studs, tracks, and channels using chop saws, snips, and shears.
  • Framework Assembly: Erect, anchor, and secure metal framing systems for interior partitions and exterior walls.
  • Component Installation: Build headers, backing, blocking, and specialized framing around window and door openings.
  • Safety Adherence: Maintain a clean work environment and strictly follow OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 13 years of commercial steel stud framing experience preferred.
  • Tool Ownership: Must possess standard hand tools of the trade (e.g., tool belt, laser, impact driver, snips, tape measure).
