Job description

This is not just another origination seat. It's an opportunity to help build a high-growth lending platform inside a respected, community-driven institution. First Commerce Credit Union is transforming Home Loans into a high-performance, technology-enabled engine; introducing new products, tightening pricing governance, strengthening secondary execution, defining pipeline discipline, and setting real operational turn-time expectations. We are scaling with intention, creating the power to say yes more often, more quickly, and with more precision.
If you want to originate loans the old way, this isn't your seat. If you want to help build something elite, keep going.
What You're Walking Into
You'll be joining a lending operation with a strategic roadmap through 2026 centered on scale, profitability, and disciplined execution. Our product suite is expanding to include portfolio solutions, brokered options, and custom programs that support the full path to homeownership. We're sharpening secondary strategies, optimizing pricing, and clarifying volume and pipeline expectations. Leadership is aligned and committed to the belief that lending should fuel growth, deepen relationships, and earn long-term member loyalty.
This is a growth chapter, and you can either be in it or watch it from the outside.
What You'll Actually Do
You won't just "take applications." You'll originate purchase and refinance business across portfolio and secondary markets, manage a pipeline with urgency and precision, and convert both organizational and partner-generated leads into funded volume. You'll operate within pricing guardrails, use our LOS to deliver speed and transparency, and strengthen relationships with realtors, builders, and community partners, all while representing FCCU as a trusted advisor in the market.
Our expectation is simple: consistent, predictable, controlled production.
What We Expect From You
  • Minimum 3 years of mortgage lending experience, including origination
  • Working knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, and FHLMC guidelines
  • NMLS registration or eligibility
  • Strong credit analysis and structuring skills
  • Ability to manage multiple files without losing precision
  • A bias toward action over excuses
  • Genuine excitement for growth, competition, and winning

You should want to be part of a team building something bigger.
Why First Commerce?
We're a full-service, member-owned credit union with deep roots in the community and a bold vision for the future. Our culture is built on integrity, innovation, and service excellence. At First Commerce, you're not just joining a company - you're joining a cause.
What's in It for You?
We believe in taking care of our team just like we take care of our members. Here's what you can expect:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with performance
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance to keep you and your family covered
  • 401(k) with company match to help you build your future
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays so you can recharge and enjoy life
  • Employee assistance programs for life's unexpected moments
  • Ongoing professional development to keep you sharp
  • Clear advancement opportunities within a growing organization
  • A supportive team environment where your voice matters

But the real upside? You get to build in a market that isn't standing still. You get to help shape a modern lending platform inside a respected credit union. And you get to join early in a transformation that won't look the same in 24 months.
The Question
Do you want to simply originate loans? Or do you want to help architect the future of home lending at First Commerce Credit Union?
If you're serious about production, disciplined with your pipeline, and energized by growth, apply now. The next phase is already underway.
