Union Operator

We are passionate and excited about how we can develop and utilize new technologies to shape and inspire changes within an ever-growing marketplace. As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Union Operator to join our team.
You will be responsible for performing all duties associated with the operational aspect of production, including but not limited to the receiving and charging of raw materials, the operation of vessels, and the extraction and packaging of finished product in compliance with SHE guidelines, government regulations, cGMP, manufacturing packets and process procedures, and at the discretion of the supervisor.
What You'll Be Doing:

โ€ข Produce finished goods according to customer specifications - 80%
โ€ข Operate the vessels and equipment following manufacturing procedures
โ€ข Monitor temperature and pressure/charge and discharge raw materials/run boil outs
โ€ข Sample product by following sampling procedures (take sample to lab, get results, adjust batch as necessary)
โ€ข Record basic data on batch sheets
โ€ข Package the product
โ€ข Handle and locate chemicals - 10%
โ€ข Load and unload bulk/packaged materials (raw materials and finished products)
โ€ข Drum product & repackage
โ€ข Pick raw materials from storage & charge materials
โ€ข Operate fork truck
โ€ข Conduct equipment maintenance - 10%
โ€ข Prepare equipment for maintenance activities
โ€ข Maintain safe and healthy work environment
โ€ข Understand and follow established procedures to operate safely in an environmentally sound manner including emergencies, start-up and shut down and OSHA related issues
โ€ข Knowledge of personal protective equipment and its use. Partner with Operations to safely manage the site maintenance process. Problems are usually complex in nature and require a high degree of troubleshooting skills. Problems can also include an advisory role in emergency situations.

3+ years chemical operator experience
High school graduate
โ€ข Basic math skills (computation) and basic reading comprehension.
โ€ข RCRA/Hazardous Waste Handler, Fork truck training and license,
โ€ข Safety training preferred
