Description:Waste Collection Driver (Non-Union)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Union
Reports To: Route Supervisor / Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Waste Collection Driver is responsible for safely operating roll-off trucks to deliver, remove, and transport open-top and compactor containers to approved disposal facilities. This position requires attention to safety, equipment care, and customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate roll-off trucks to deliver and retrieve containers
  • Transport and dispose of construction, demolition, and industrial waste
  • Safely secure loads and containers
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Operate hydraulic hoist and cable systems
  • Maintain accurate service and disposal records
  • Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch
  • Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies
Qualifications
  • Valid CDL Class B or Class A
  • Roll-off driving experience preferred
  • Air brake endorsement required
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work early mornings, overtime, and variable schedules
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Frequent climbing, bending, and pulling
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
