Job Description
Maintenance Technician| Hiring Immediately | Macon, Georgia
Compensation:
  • Competitive starting pay range of $32.23-$40.59 per hour, paid weekly

Available Shift:
  • 2nd Shift
  • 12-hour
  • 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
  • 3-2-2-3

Job Purpose: The Level#4- Maintenance Technician role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing facility and production equipment to support the facilities manufacturing schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follows all documented safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.
  • Responds promptly to safety hazards and machine breakdowns.
  • Understands and interprets blueprints required for work.
  • Performs routine mechanical repair on equipment.
  • Completes documentation related to the task at hand.
  • Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
  • Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.
  • Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.
  • Maintains excellent safety record.
  • Maintains excellent attendance record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities.
  • Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.

An individual must have the following skills in the Level#4- Maintenance Technician position:
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Demonstrate initiative in addressing and/or resolving repair issues.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical requirements:
This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:
  • Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)
  • Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)
  • Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)
  • Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)

Working conditions:
  • Must have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Must have personal tools up to one (1) inch.
  • Must be able to stand and/kneel frequently, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be available on an on-call basis.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical certification in a related field preferred
