Job description

Accounting Manager - Denver (Hybrid)

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Western Union will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Applicants must be based in Denver or willing to relocate to Denver to work from the Denver office a minimum of three days a week. Western Union will not assist with relocation costs for this position.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manages the planning and direction of departmental activities related to general accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results.
  • Specifically responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the ledger accounts and financial statements in compliance with Company and GAAP standards.
  • Formulates and directs the administration of approved accounting practices.
  • Oversee the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs supporting the Finance organization.
  • May participate in accounting projects.
  • Responsible for managing people; hiring, performance reviews and compensation decisions.
  • Perform all duties inherent in a managerial role.
  • Overseeing Opex and Capex accounting related to IT processes
  • Overseeing Prepaid accounting
  • Managing Blackline account reconciliation access and assignments
  • Month end Balance sheet review reporting
  • Partnering with various corporate and business departments

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' financial accounting experience required.
  • 2-5 years leadership experience required.
  • CPA preferred.

Salary

The base salary range is $125,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus annual incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
