Job description

Role: Senior Accountant – Banking / Mortgage / Lending Experience Required

Pay: $100,000 - $115,000 / year

Location: Irvine, CA (on site)

Benefits: This role is eligible for sick time, medical, dental and 401k.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support our client during a critical system implementation and audit period. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone with strong technical accounting skills and experience in banking or lending environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the NetSuite implementation from an accounting and reporting standpoint
  • Assist with data validation, reconciliations, and system tie-outs between QuickBooks and NetSuite
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Ensure financials are audit-ready and support requests from Deloitte
  • Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
  • Strengthen internal controls and documentation during system transition

Qualifications

  • Required: Banking, mortgage, or lending industry experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience working with external auditors (Big 4 environment preferred)
  • Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred (open to strong mid-tier backgrounds)
  • Prior ERP implementation experience highly preferred (NetSuite experience is a plus)
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced transition environment
