Job description

JOB PURPOSE

The Associate Director RGM and Design for Channel (D4C) Manager is responsible for driving the growth of the Savory and Condiments (Foods) Category for Unilever and setting portfolio vision & strategy across all channels. You will play a key role in driving collaborative, revenue-generating white space growth opportunities, influencing sound financial decisions, and solving business issues. You will be a key liaison between the Customer Teams, Customers, and key stakeholders within Unilever.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

As the Associate Director RGM and D4C, you’re responsible for driving Channel & Customer prioritization – Channel Strategy, pricing, trade promotion. You will design investment and execution principles to deliver Sales Fundamentals (SPI, CPP, TDP/ SOS/ Distribution) You will be expected to understand and articulate industry insights, business results & investment needs. Strong leadership, communication and influence skills are a must in this high exposure role. The role will deliver best-in-class Category growth and development, be an expert in market data, and deliver a sharp promo and pricing plan. Additionally: Identify and understand industry, category, shopper and consumer trends to proactively seek and recommend shopper led solutions Convert category insights and strategy into strategic merchandising strategies with actionable recommendations for customers Channel Differentiation: build a market winning Pack & Price architecture that serves key shopper needs and enables market value creation across key retailers Define NPD Delivery targets at Market, Channel and customer level Analyze voids/white space in club and develop opportunities by driving pack ideation and creation by utilizing agile/sprint methodology Maximize ROI through detailed analysis to improve sales, trade spend, product mix, efficiency, etc. Consult closely with brand teams to secure alignment around retail environment realities prior to innovation launches Ability to work cross functionally and cross division within Unilever exploring opportunities with UFS (Unilever Food Solutions) UI (Unilever International), Industrial cleaning teams, E-com, amongst others. Championing RGM channel specific capability including channel specific strategy, data and analytics Managing retailer or channel centric RGM approaches in the markets and bringing measurable impact. Manage the RGM budget to build playbooks and capabilities across RGM and CD communities, deployment of the channel centric RGM approach through Fractal HUB and design D4C tools/automation.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications Minimum of BA/BS degree, MBA a plus 6-10 years consumer product goods industry exp. with background in Category Management 3-5 Years of Customer Facing Experience and understanding of retailer merchandising dynamics in a Sales or Category Leadership role preferred Excellent financial, analytical and communication skills. Deep understanding of the P&L, retail math, analytics, financial/strategic modeling, forecasting, etc Agile Methodology understanding and implementation Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task & prioritize in a cross functional environment. Problem Solving, possess solid judgment, and decision-making ability, deal with ambiguity. Knowledge of Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Essbase, SASS, IRI/Nielsen Leadership You are an inclusive motivator of people. Your team deliver with real passion, growing and learning from each other whilst delivering quick wins. You are still responsible for your own results and as a manager, you also need to motivate others to deliver with passion, creating an inclusive and engaging climate around you. You can balance challenge with support and coaching. You understand the wider business context and you are emotionally intelligent enough to motivate people to deliver what is needed.

Pay

Pay: The pay range for this position is $146,200 to $219,400. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
