Lactalis Heritage Dairy (LHD), part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Senior Sales Analyst, UNFI.


This is a fully remote (U.S.) position.


The Senior Sales Analyst for United National Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is responsible for transforming complex distributor, POS, and syndicated data into clear, actionable insights that drive sales growth, operational efficiency, and strategic decision making. This role partners closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Category Management, Finance, and Customer Teams to support UNFI business performance across regions, channels, and key accounts. The ideal candidate combines advanced analytical capability with strong business judgment, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of the UNFI ecosystem.


From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Build, automate, and maintain reporting dashboards using Power BI, Excel, and M365 to track UNFI shipments, POS, inventory, distribution, and promotional performance.
  • Leverage UNFI Insights, Crisp, and internal data sources to analyze trends, identify opportunities, and diagnose root causes of performance changes.
  • Integrate Circana and Nielsen syndicated data to provide category context, competitive benchmarking, and customer ready selling stories.
  • Lead weekly/monthly business reviews for the UNFI team, synthesizing data into concise, actionable insights for leadership and customer partners.
  • Support demand planning by analyzing order patterns, fill rates, inventory positions, and forecast accuracy; highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales and Category Management to prepare customer presentations, new item sell ins, distribution gap analyses, and promotional post event reviews.
  • Manage data integrity across multiple systems; ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with internal reporting standards.
  • Develop scenario models for annual planning, pricing, trade spend, and channel strategy.
  • Identify process gaps and implement scalable, automated solutions that improve reporting efficiency and decision quality.
Requirements:

From your STORY to ours

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Associate's degree (or 5 years of equivalent experience), bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years in CPG, retail, or distributor analytics roles.
  • Power BI (Advanced): DAX, Power Query, data modeling, automated refresh pipelines, and executive ready dashboard design.
  • Excel (Advanced): Power Pivot, complex formulas, pivot tables, macros/VBA (preferred), scenario modeling.
  • Certification in Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI is a plus.
  • Microsoft 365: Strong proficiency in Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and collaborative workflows.
  • UNFI Insights: Ability to extract, interpret, and visualize distributor shipment, inventory, and customer level data.
  • Crisp: Experience with data pipelines, dashboards, and distributor data harmonization.
  • Circana & Nielsen: POS analysis, category insights, competitive benchmarking, and customer storytelling.
  • Data Management: Experience with large datasets, ETL processes, and data quality controls.
  • SQL or similar query languages (preferred but not required).
  • Direct experience supporting UNFI or other distributors.
  • Strong understanding of distributor dynamics: fill rates, DC alignment, order cycles, inventory flow, and customer specific nuances.
  • Proven ability to build dashboards, forecasting models, and executive ready insights.
  • Experience supporting Sales, Category, Finance, or Supply Chain teams.
  • Clear communicator who can translate complex data into simple, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.
  • Business curiosity with the ability to ask the right questions and challenge assumptions respectfully.
  • Influence without authority—comfortable guiding cross functional partners toward data driven decisions.
