Job description

The UL Compliance Engineer will be responsible for all UL related activities within RTP Company. This includes the coordination, preparation, and submittal of all test specimens and testing for new UL yellow card certifications. Candidate will also coordinate and direct follow-up testing for all global manufacturing plants. Candidate will be responsible for annual facility audit and compliance. Critical to function are strong organization and communication skills to ensure duties are completed in a thorough and timely manner.

ACTUAL WAGE IS BASED ON RELATED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities

  • Manage UL testing laboratory functions.
  • Coordinate UL testing and calibration/maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Communicates project status and results as needed. Holds responsibility for defining test plan, report completion and accuracy, meeting agreed deadlines, and managing project related activities.
  • Understands specific test standards and product technology for scope of responsibility.
  • Implement testing plans for project submittals.
  • Organize and execute project testing plans from scope to submittal.
  • Manage internal audits and UL follow-up service program, including documenting and reporting.
  • Submit complete audit reports in a timely manner.
  • Investigation and education of new and/or changing UL regulations.
  • Coordinate all internal UL communication and system maintenance.
  • Manage alternate product compliance requirements as directed.
  • Operates with minimal supervision within defined responsibility.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.
