Chief of Staff – UHNW Family


About the Role


A high-net-worth family based in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and exceptionally organized Chief of Staff to serve as the Principal’s trusted right hand across all business and personal matters.

This is a hands-on, highly confidential role requiring someone who is proactive, discreet, and comfortable managing a complex network of household staff, assistants, drivers, legal and professional advisors, security teams, vendors, and other service providers. The ideal candidate has experience working with UHNW individuals, CEOs, celebrities, or high-profile families and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.


At a Glance:


  • Location: Los Angeles, CA (in-person; significant travel required)
  • Schedule: Full-time; flexibility required including evenings and weekends
  • Reports to: Principal directly
  • Start Date: Immediate / As soon as available
  • Pay: Competitive and commensurate with experience


Key Responsibilities:


Principal & Executive Support

  • Serve as the Principal’s primary right hand across personal and business matters
  • Anticipate needs, manage priorities, and ensure important matters are followed through
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, appointments, and daily priorities
  • Act as a gatekeeper and trusted point of contact for the Principal


Staff & Household Management

  • Oversee household staff, assistants, drivers, security personnel, and other support teams
  • Coordinate staffing, schedules, performance, and day-to-day operations
  • Ensure the household operates smoothly and consistently to the Principal’s standards


Professional Advisors

  • Coordinate with attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, insurance professionals, property managers, and other advisors
  • Track important deadlines, projects, documents, and outstanding matters
  • Ensure issues are appropriately communicated and escalated to the Principal


Travel & Logistics

  • Oversee complex domestic and international travel for the Principal and family
  • Coordinate with private aviation, hotels, drivers, security, travel advisors, and other vendors
  • Handle last-minute changes and urgent requests with composure


Security & Privacy

  • Coordinate with private security teams and ensure appropriate protocols are followed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the Principal, family, business, finances, travel, and personal affairs


Household, Property & Personal Matters

  • Oversee residences, vendors, contractors, maintenance, deliveries, and household needs
  • Coordinate events, dinners, family occasions, and other personal engagements
  • Ensure personal and family requests are handled efficiently and discreetly


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant, Household Manager, or comparable senior private-service role
  • Proven experience working with UHNW individuals, CEOs, celebrities, or high-profile families
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and strong executive presence
  • Extremely discreet, trustworthy, and comfortable handling sensitive information
  • Ability to manage multiple staff members, vendors, and professional advisors
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Tech-savvy and highly adaptable
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must consent to a background check


Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Specific details will be discussed during the interview process.


Interview Process

We are looking for a long-term fit. The interview process will include several rounds of interviews, video calls, and assessments to evaluate experience, judgment, communication, and ability to operate in a UHNW environment.
