JOB TITLE:         Inside Sales Representative

LOCATION:      Sterling Heights, Michigan. office based

WORKING HOURS: 7am - 4.30pm

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and driven Inside Sales Representative to join our US sales team.

This role is primarily focused on generating new business through outbound cold calling and prospecting. You'll spend a significant part of your day speaking with prospective customers, qualifying opportunities and working closely with Area Sales Representatives to help grow our business.

Alongside new business development, you'll also manage existing customer relationships, prepare quotations and provide support to the wider sales team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, thrives on achieving targets and has a proven track record in phone-based sales.

What you'll be doing

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound cold calling, email campaigns and prospecting activities.
  • You'll spend a significant portion of your day proactively reaching out to prospective customers and generating new opportunities.
  • Build relationships with prospective and existing customers and arrange meetings for Area Sales Representatives.
  • Qualify leads and manage opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Prepare quotations and follow up with customers to secure business.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Work closely with Area Sales Representatives on larger opportunities.
  • Attend customer meetings, trade shows and showroom visits when required.
  • Attend quarterly training sessions in our Michigan office.
  • Provide administrative support to the wider team as required.

  • Previous experience in inside sales, business development, sales development or account management.
  • Proven success in cold calling and generating new business opportunities.
  • Comfortable spending a large part of the day on the phone.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and results driven.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage sales activity.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
