Job Summary:
The Packaging Associate is responsible for packaging and ensuring quality in the products that the Finishing team produces, as well as correct counts and job completion.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Count and scan finished items into inventory.
  • Package securely and label all items produced by finishing.
  • Provide backup for the Finishing team in the following areas
    • Assume Finishing team member role in their absence or when workload requires.
    • Ensure quality in the items finishers produce by performing quality checks.
    • Work with the Production Supervisor or the finishing schedule to meet customers' needs.
    • Communicate any problems or potential problems to Warehouse Supervisor.
    • Work with office staff as a team, and with respect.
  • Provide support to the Warehouse team as needed in the following areas:
    • Accurately deliver finished materials into specific warehouse inventory locations.
    • Deliver finished goods to Shipping.
    • Assist with preparing items for shipment as needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the packaging area.
  • Ensure consumable items used in finishing are stocked.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage time.

Physical Requirements and Trainings:
  • Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs.
  • A minimum of one month of shadowing and being observed by the Warehouse Supervisor or a current production employee that has worked as a packager with Advantage Label for at least one year.
  • Training on each of the following procedures: Pr-4.2-02, Pr-7.5-02, Pr-7.5-04, Pr-7.6-01, Pr-8.3-01, Pr-8.5-01.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent desired.
  • No experience required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
