About University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Staff, Part Time, Non-Exempt, Non-Benefited through 6/30/2026 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). 

Salary: $24.00 per hour.

Location: CSUSB Campus.

Work Schedule

Up to 19 hours per week. Variable hours. Schedule to be determined. Some nights and weekends may be required.

First Review Deadline

This position will remain open until filled. 

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Program Manager, the Higher Education Analyst will work independently to:

Provide project coordination for Workforce Pathways and other ICDFR projects:

  • Community outreach with high schools and community colleges.
  • Event coordination.
  • Resource development.
  • Student support & mentorship.
  • Maintain spreadsheets and tracking systems for various projects.
  • Draft emails and reports.
  • Compile data for the Project Analyst.
  • Prepare summaries of outreach efforts or student engagement.
  • Manage shared folders and documentation.

Supporting High School & Community College Partnerships

  • Emailing and calling counselors, teachers, and college advisors.
  • Scheduling meetings between the Project Analyst and school partners.
  • Attending partnership meetings (virtual or in-person) and taking notes.
  • Tracking contact information and maintaining a partnership database or CRM.
  • Following up on action items after meetings.
  • Sharing program updates, deadlines, or event information with partner schools.

Assisting with Child Development Teaching Certificate Resources

  • Helping create flyers, guides, FAQs, or presentations about the certificate program.
  • Updating resource documents when program requirements change.
  • Formatting materials for print or digital distribution.
  • Emailing materials to community partners.
  • Posting information on websites or shared drives.
  • Answering basic questions from partners about the certificate pathway.

Coordinating Higher Education Events

  • Reserving rooms or confirming virtual meeting links.
  • Communicating with guest speakers and community organizations.
  • Managing event registration lists.
  • Preparing sign-in sheets, name tags, or digital check-in systems.
  • Setting up materials or tabling at recruitment events.
  • Supporting students during events (directions, check-in, answering questions).
  • Following up with attendees afterward.


Mentoring & Supporting Scholarship Recipients

  • Meeting one-on-one with students (in person or via Zoom).
  • Checking in about academic progress and challenges.
  • Connecting students to tutoring, advising, financial aid, or counseling services.
  • Tracking student progress and maintaining confidential records.
  • Sending reminders about deadlines (renewals, reports, GPA requirements).
  • Encouraging students and providing guidance on career or academic planning.

May be required to travel for events occasionally.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: 
    • Bachelor's degree in Child Development or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in child care programs
    • Familiarity with QRIS systems, early childhood workforce and higher
  • Other:
    • Have the ability to work with a diverse population including communication with people from diverse cultures, ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic levels, and educational levels.
    • Be skilled in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
    • Have the ability to write clear and concise reports.
    • Have the ability to work in a team setting.
    • Have the ability to handle multiple work priorities, organize work projects, and complete them in a timely manner.
    • Have strong oral and facilitation skills.
    • Have knowledge of operating standard office equipment and computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Access, Powerpoint, Excel, Word) and database management.
    • Possess willingness to work weekends and evenings as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with collaborating in higher education.
  • Experience with early childhood education.
  • Experience with Adult mentoring.
