Overview

Unit Deployment Manager and Unit Control Center Support

LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: Secret

TRAVEL: None

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Unit Deployment Manager (UDM) and Unit Control Center (UCC) Support for the Tenants Contract, supporting the Air Force Division at the Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate’s Integration and Operations Division (AFRL/RWO) at Eglin AFB, FL.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years’ relevant experience
  • Active Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required)
  • Familiarization with military systems and processes, such as MILPDS Unit deployment requirements, Leaveweb, Military manpower and assignments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, esp Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SharePoint, expert attention-to-detail & highly organized.
  • Excellent communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Prefer prior AF experience and/or experience in laboratory setting working with scientists and engineers.
  • Experience on Eglin AFB in other Acquisition-related organizations is highly desired
  • At least 5 years of UDM experience
  • At least 5 years of UCC experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

Unit Deployment Manager (UDM)

  • Perform program management duties related to Fitness, Deployment, Training, and Personnel Management.
  • Advise and assist in maintaining TDY tracking, working with templates and suspenses for military decorations, tracking of military performance feedback, documenting military leave, scheduling and processing OPRs and EPRs, providing assistance with military manpower tracking, reporting in/out processing and assisting with the INTRO/sponsor program, PC III, MILPDS applications, SGLI, and other military management systems. The contractor shall assist in these functions in a purely administrative function.

Unit Control Center (UCC)

  • Manage Command and Control hub as communication link between unit personnel, 96TW and HQ AFRL during exercises, and emergencies
  • Track personnel accountability and implement checklists to ensure operational continuity
  • Manage unit compliance, document risks and deficiencies within the Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) or Inspector General Enterprise Management System (IGEMS)
  • Train personnel on the self-assessment program as needed

Emergency Management (EM)

  • Serve as POC for unit readiness, monitoring hazardous materials, and preparing for disaster recovery
  • Provide input to the Unit Commander unit conditions during real world and exercise emergencies

Site Operations Coordinator

  • POC for scheduling facility repairs and outages with CE or Army Corps of Eng
  • Coordinate infrastructure repairs and work requests with Facility Managers
  • Coordinate emergency services, weather alerts, and test operations with host base and other agencies
  • Develop and manage programs for emergency/contingency management and maintain unit-level emergency action checklists
  • Create response plans per AFI, disseminate emergency alerts and notifications to unit personnel during exercises or real-world events
