Job description

UCSF Fresno & Inspire Health – Pediatric Hospitalist

The UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program and Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG), dba Inspire Health, are recruiting academic pediatric hospitalist faculty members at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. The UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program sees patients in a Regional Medical Center. The successful candidate must have completed a pediatric residency, be board-certified or eligible in General Pediatrics, and hold a current CA medical license at the time of hire. The responsibilities include teaching medical students and residents in inpatient pediatrics. Bilingual Spanish/English skills and clinical research experience are preferred qualifications but not required. Academic rank and salary will be consistent with the successful candidate's professional background.

The program is based in Fresno, California, where residents enjoy a high standard of living combined with a low cost of living. The result is a quality of life uniquely Californian, yet surprisingly affordable. Limitless recreational opportunities and spectacular scenery are all accessible in a community with abundant, affordable housing. While there is much to see and do in Fresno, the city is ideally located for fast, convenient getaways to the majestic Sierra (just 90 minutes away) and the scenic Central Coast (just 2.5 hours away). Fresno is the only major city in the country with proximity to three national parks, including the renowned Yosemite National Park.

For positions exclusively funded by the affiliate organization, Inspire Health provided a reasonable salary estimate of $207,500-$237,500 for this position.

Document requirements:

  • Curriculum Vitae - CV must clearly list current and/or pending qualifications (e.g. board eligibility/certification, medical licensure, etc.).
  • Cover Letter (Optional)
  • Statement of Research (Optional)
  • Statement of Teaching (Optional)
