Job description

Position Summary: This position serves as a Housekeeping Team member, ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of Liberty. This position also serves as a Setup team member, setting up classrooms and spaces for meetings and events.

Ministry Department: Facilities

Position Reports To: Campus Pastor

Hours: This is a part-time position consisting of 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Assist with set up for Special Events and weekly ministry in the life of the campus.
  2. Remove trash as necessary on campus.
  3. Empty/fill baptistry as needed.
  4. Setup and take down Kids Ministry and Student Large Group Rooms for Wednesday night and Sunday mornings.
  5. Organize Gathering Areas for Sunday mornings.
  6. Prepare Worship Center chairs and seatbacks.
  7. Perform weekly dusting and spot cleaning as needed.

General Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrates a Christ-like attitude in performing all work to honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  2. Faithfully maintains discretion and effectively deals with sensitive and/or confidential information of a written and spoken nature.
  3. Uses independent judgment to determine work priorities.
  4. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Campus Pastor.
  5. Is a loyal staff member by cooperating and following the leadership of the church.
  6. Follows Liberty's policies and procedures.
  7. Works in coordination with the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the church, which are summarized by the mission statement "Changing Lives, Communities and the World for Jesus Christ."

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Some knowledge of carpentry, electricity, painting, and general maintenance problems is helpful.
  2. Ability to use detergents and chemicals in a safe way.
  3. Ability to work well with staff members and others.
  4. Ability to use a lift.
  5. Flexibility for outside events.

Conditions And Physical Requirements:

The job will primarily be carried out all around the building and require walking, standing, as well as bending and carrying some moderately heavy items up to 50 lbs. The job will require the ability to move chairs and other furniture around to accommodate setup needs.
