Job description


Center for Behavioral, Educational, and Social Therapies (CBEST), now proudly part of The Stepping Stones Group, is hiring school-based Behavior Technicians (BTs) to provide one-on-one ABA therapy for kiddos with behavioral needs in the Northridge &, Reseda, CA area. In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact by supporting children in reaching their social, emotional, and behavioral goals in a school setting.

What You'll Do

  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to students with moderate to severe behaviors (e.g., aggression, elopement) in a school setting
  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) developed by Case Supervisors
  • Support students in developing functional communication, social skills, academic success, and daily living abilities
  • Track and document progress, behavior data, and session notes accurately
  • Maintain consistent attendance and demonstrate professional communication with staff and supervisors

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children with diagnosed with Autism or other special needs required
  • Must be available to work Monday - Friday, 7:50am - 3:30pm, 30 hours per week
  • ABA training and knowledge of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Safety Care (QBS) strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are a must
  • Reliable transportation and willing to commute up to 10 miles (30-45 minutes)
  • Physically able to kneel, run short distances, and lift up to 25 lbs.
