Description
Our temporary positions offer great opportunities for those seeking a flexible and fulfilling work experience. For those ultimately seeking regular full-time opportunities, temporary employment also offers an opportunity to network and to gain relevant university experience. We staff a variety of jobs including administrative, technical, service, maintenance, skilled trades, and office/clerical. Temporary assignments can vary in length from one day to six months, and occasionally up to a year or more.

Duties are varied depending on the temporary employment received.
Typical Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Supplemental Information
Position requires sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to bend, squat, and reach regularly/on occasion. Capable of moving, and transporting materials regularly/on occasion. Duties imply the use of a computer and other technology involving fine finger movements. Communicate orally and in writing with various audiences. Additional physical demands based on specific department needs.
Varying hours as required based on specific department needs.
NOTE: A background check is required to be completed prior to starting the temporary assignment.
Special Instructions:
Full-time staff & 12-month faculty benefits-eligible position: Benefits include competitive salary; health, dental, vision, life insurance, AD & D, long-term disability; 3 weeks paid vacation per year; 3 weeks of accrued sick leave per year; 13 paid holidays; retirement; and generous education assistance for an employee, spouse and dependent children taking classes at UCM.
9-month faculty benefits-eligible position: Benefits include competitive salary; health, dental, vision, life insurance, AD & D, long-term disability; 3 weeks of accrued sick leave per year; 13 paid holidays; retirement; and generous education assistance for an employee, spouse and dependent children taking classes at UCM.
Part-time benefits-eligible positions: Benefits include generous education assistance for the employee.
Temporary, adjunct, student employment, or graduate assistant positions: Benefits are not included.
