Job Description
UC Health is hiring a Part Time Administrative Intern (PRN) for the Administration Office for the First Shift at West Chester Hospital.
The hospital administrative team will enhance a student's understanding of the operations and other administrative duties of the hospital through mentorship and direct oversight during an educational administrative intern. During the role, the student will gain first-hand knowledge of the operational and administrative issues of concern to site leader and business operations. Students will apply the theories, concepts, principles, and skills learned in the didactic portion of their education to an operational environment under the guidance of the Hospitals Business Operations team.

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
  • Hospital rounding
    • Eight hours per month = 96 per year
  • The intern would support additional miscellaneous project work, including various tasks that are episodic in nature and do not require a dedicated FTE part time position with benefits.
    • Four hours per month = 48 per year

  • Tracking Cancer Accreditation standards
    • Four hours per month = 48 per year

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
  • LICENSE & CERTIFICATION: N/A.
  • Minimum Required: Recently certified, licensed or graduates within past 12 months.
  • Preferred: 0 - 6 Months equivalent experience.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Employs strong computer skills to facilitate project management and report development (preferred knowledge with excel).
  • Individual should possess strong organization skills; strong communication skills.
  • Good cooperative and collaborative skills
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and help as needed
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; perform a variety of tasks
  • Ability to work well with others.
