Position Overview

Pay range: $29.25 - $47.55 / hour

Shifts: Weekend Baylor AM and PM, AM 3-12 hour shifts, PM 3-12 hour shifts, Evenings 3-12 hour shifts, Flexi/PRN

Joining our radiology team at UAB Medicine positions you to shape the future of medical imaging and patient care at our adult Level 1 Trauma Center. UAB Medicine is a rewarding, exciting, and flexible place to work, one that offers endless opportunities to grow your Computed Tomography (CT) career with inpatient and outpatient imaging services at multiple campus locations. We provide an environment for growth that includes support from leadership and allows you to work with the latest equipment and procedures, such as microwave and radiofrequency ablation, the O-arm surgical imaging system, and intraoperative CT and fMRI.

Job Description

Under the direction of a radiologist and the CT supervisor, to perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. To perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to render prescribed CT procedures.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently registered as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) (R) with ARRT. Candidate will have one (1) year from hire date to become registered in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT. Or certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required. If certification is not obtained within one year, an additional period of up to one hundred and eighty (180) days may be allowed.
