Job Title: TSG Support Technician (Driving Required)
Location: Charleston, SC 29492
Duration: 3 Months (Contract)
Pay Rate: $26.60/hr on W2
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 4:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Job Description
We are seeking a TSG Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for computer systems, telecommunications equipment, and end-user technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hardware and software installations, troubleshooting technical issues, inventory management, and supporting technology infrastructure across multiple customer locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to travel using a personal vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Perform hardware replacements, equipment exchanges, and maintain inventory records.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Train end users on supported hardware and software from both technical and user perspectives.
  • Respond to and resolve end-user technical support requests in a timely manner.
  • Support UPS technology infrastructure across UPS Core Technology, Small Package, Freight, and Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) locations.
  • Document support activities, equipment inventory, and issue resolutions.
  • Travel to multiple customer locations using a personal vehicle as needed.
  • Work independently while effectively managing priorities and daily tasks.
  • Participate in planned weekend upgrades or provide vacation coverage when required.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
  • CompTIA A+ Certification (Required).
  • Experience providing desktop or technical support in an enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Microsoft Access
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for local travel.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of hardware deployment, software installation, and inventory management.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT support best practices.

Additional Information
  • Employment Type: Contract (3 Months)
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 4:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Travel: Required. Must use a personal vehicle to support multiple customer locations. Approved business travel expenses will be reimbursed according to company policy.
