Job description

Are you ready to put your program and technical expertise to work supporting mission-critical Army aviation programs? We are seeking a motivated Contracts Analyst to provide acquisition management and contracts support to a fast-paced acquisition program office in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will draft complete Contract Requirements Packages (CRPs) for weapon system development, production, sustainment and engineering services contracts for high-dollar efforts. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.

As a Contracts Analyst, you will be part of an integrated government team where you will support U.S. Army acquisition programs. This opportunity will allow you to grow and learn as you support a variety of programs and task areas. This is a full-time, onsite position.

Essential Job Functions:

Coordinates staffing and reviews acquisition and life cycle documents for assigned programs, such as Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans, Sole Source Justifications, Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Functional Requirements Authentication Board (FRAB) documents and other acquisition documents.

Assists with determining contracting strategy, prepares contracting documents, and coordinates activities with Army Contracting Command.

Participates in Integrated Product Teams and assists in the preparation, review, and submittal of complex CRPs.

Serves as Contracts Liaison between the Product Office and the Army Contracting Command (ACC).

Tracks, monitors, and responds to all acquisition related taskers/actions and quickly respond to all PM acquisition concerns.

Some travel may be required to support program actions.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of government contract administration experience.

Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance.

Strong analytical, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.

Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) level II.

Experience writing government acquisition related contracting documents (e.g., such as Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Justification and Approvals (J&A), Acquisition Strategies, Simplified Acquisition Management Plans (SAMPs), Acquisition Plans, and Determination and Findings (D&F)).

Ability to respond to challenging program questions and issues by researching and assimilating information into valid recommendations in a timely manner.

Desired Skills:

Previous experience in a DOD acquisition program office or contracting command.
