The successful candidate must be certified and qualified to execute the duties of Site Superintendent, Quality Control Manager (QCM), or Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) on Federal Government construction project sites Act as the lead on-site representative, managing coordination efforts among federal clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution Direct all field construction operations, driving timely completion within budget while meeting federal standards for safety and quality Administer and uphold rigorous safety protocols in full compliance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations Establish and monitor quality assurance procedures, ensuring strict adherence to contract specifications and regulatory requirements Perform and document all phases of inspection—preparatory, initial, and follow-up—aligned with the USACE Three-Phase Quality Control system

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in federal construction as a Superintendent, QCM, or SSHO PLUS to have current and valid certifications in: USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health First Aid/CPR EM 385-1-1 Strong understanding of federal contracting procedures and regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS) Ability to travel nationwide on a full-time basis and work in remote or secure federal facilities Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain security clearance as needed

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $62.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
