Kona Ice is looking for AMAZING people to serve in some of the KOOLEST food trucks in K-Town and the surrounding area!For over 15 years Smoky Mountain Kona Ice has served our delicious & nutritious shaved ice and 100% fruit smoothies to our wonderful community.


We are looking for motivated and charismatic drivers to join our local Krew. You must be honest, friendly, outgoing, and enjoy working with children and crowds. Kona Ice Krew Members need to have flexible schedules with a focused priority on meeting the needs of our customers. Your job location will vary from day-to-day. Some days you may be restocking or cleaning the units & facilities; the next day you're serving a school, corporate picnic, or even a wedding!Have you ever been to a sporting event at the University of Tennessee? A giant festival at World's Fair Park? We serve them ALL!


Kona Ice Krew Member & Caterer Responsibilities:

  • Entrusted with independence - ability to operate events solo from start-to-finish
  • Perform cleaning of Kona Ice trucks & facilities with regularly scheduled deep cleans
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment and work well with other team members
  • Promptly report to scheduled shifts at event sites or the main office in Maryville, TN (about 5 minutes from McGhee Tyson Airport)
  • Safely drive the Kona Ice trucks to and from events
  • Correspond with clients' on-site contacts for necessary guidance in logistical changes
  • Provide superior, courteous service to clients and customers with speed and accuracy
  • Comply with the hygiene, health, and sanitation guidelines
  • Complete beginning- and end-of-shift prepping and stocking
  • Accurately complete pre- & post-event checklists for evaluating Kona Ice vehicles
  • Ability to accurately read, count, and complete documentation
  • Communicate maintenance & inventory needs to appropriate staff
  • Willing to learn / be entrusted to tow Kona Ice equipment
