This position is responsible for performing various hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks:

Assisting the supervisor in the day to day operations at the hatchery. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to pulling hatcher baskets from the hatchers to the separator room, sweeping out hatchers, cleaning and disinfecting the hatchers and drains.

Move stacks of empty boxes weighing approx. 70 lbs with a dolly.

Move buggies containing eggs with dolly. Clean, mop and buff hatchery floors. Monitor hatchers and setters as required by management.

Run chick trays, flats and boxes through tray washer, put flats in farm racks. Train to operate the separator.

Job Requirements:

Must be willing to perform all the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

Have the ability to learn and/or understand machines.

Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours, bend, squat, push, pull and lift approx. 10 lbs repetitiously.

Must be able to work in dusty environment with high allergens such as chick down.

Work in warm/humid environment.

Wear PPE's and follow all safety policies and procedures.

All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
