Job description

Inova Physical Therapy Center in Alexandria is looking for Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA ) to join our outstanding growing team. We work with Inova Sports/Ortho Trauma and Podiatrist Physicians. This position is full-time Day Shifts - (40 hrs/ week) - Monday- Friday  and two evening shifts per week until 7:00pm. Clinic hours are Monday-Thursday 7:00am-7:00pm, Friday 7:00am-4:00pm.

Work Locations: Ideal candidate will be able to float between 2 locations:

  • IPT Sportsplex: 6355 Walker Land Alexandria VA 22310 (3 days/week)
  • 8350 Richmond Hwy suite 301, Alexandria VA 22309 (2 days/week)

Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant 1 Job Responsibilities:

  • The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant 1 adheres to department policies regarding time frame, appropriate form, and content of written rehabilitation documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts. 
  • Completes all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit. 
  • Demonstrates essential skill in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols. 
  • Performs reassessments according to state and facility guidelines, while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree from a licensed physical therapy assistant program.
  • Experience: Graduate of a licensed physical therapy assistant program, new graduate of a licensed physical therapy assistant program
  • Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
  • Licensed: VA License Physical Therapy Assistant required upon start
