    INPATIENT POST SURGICAL UNIT
    65 / hr
    2 or more years of RECENT RN bedside MEDICAL SURGICAL (concentration on post surgical) EXPERIENCE (see below for experience requirements)
    The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes A, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

    Education
    • RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN

    Certification/Licensure
    • Valid RN License to practice in Virginia
    • Current BLS, NIHSS
    Experience
    • MUST have AT LEAST 2 yrs of RECENT bedside RN experience in Med Surg with a concentration of surgical
    • EPIC documentation system experience required
    • CURRENT BLS AND NIHSS required
