Job description

Are you looking to find personal and professional fulfillment?  At Crossroads Turning Points (CTP), our employees can make a difference daily by helping people facing substance use and mental health challenges build a healthy lifestyle for their long-term recovery.  Our dedicated team provides personalized care to ensure an environment that allows healing for anyone who walks through our doors.

The custodian assists the maintenance supervisor by performing assigned maintenance duties.   

 All positions require pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Regularly sweeps, mops, dust, and vacuums residential units, administration offices, hallways, stairs, offices, and restrooms.  This includes conference rooms and break rooms.

Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks; mows lawns, trims hedges, remove weeds, rakes, and disposes of leaves, etc.

Performs minor and routine painting and other needed maintenance.   

Helps in remodeling all facilities.

Notify the supervisor of needed repairs/replacements to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.   

Coordinates with supervisor supply ordering and restocking.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:   

High School diploma or GED required.

Experience

Prefer one year’s experience providing custodial and maintenance services.       

Other:            

Valid driver's license and insurability.

Basic computer skills required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift and operate various custodial and maintenance equipment.

Must reach, bend, stoop, push shovels, stand on ladders, etc.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed indoors and outside. Approximately 25% of duties are done outdoors.  

Must have the ability to travel to outlying areas as needed.
