Job Title

Beam Tufting Reliability Tech C

Position Overview

Shaw is hiring a Beam Tufting Reliability Tech C. This position will serve the Tufting/Warping Department by making necessary repairs and/or adjustments to tufting machines for the purpose of maintaining their efficient and accurate operation.

Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am

Essential Duties:

  • Make necessary repairs to tufting machines and warpers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tufting machines and warpers.
  • Make major changes of blades, loopers and needles on tufting machines
  • Make necessary speed adjustments to tufting machines
  • Obtain dissection weight checks for the purpose of determining the nature of tufting machine adjustments and make the needed adjustments pending the analysis of the dissection weight checks
  • Make necessary tufting machine adjustments to accommodate style changes
  • Troubleshoot machines and warpers for mechanical issues.
  • Perform minor and major overhauls of tufting machines when machine shop work is not required
  • Repair mending guns and other Tufting/Warper Department equipment.
  • Attend periodic departmental meetings as well as training that will foster continued job improvement

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Serve on task forces and committees as necessary
  • Perform other non-quality-related duties as directed by Supervisor

Other Requirements

  • Communicate to other employees both in speech and in writing
  • Ensure the work environment is free of harassment and that employees feel free to express problems and concerns
  • Assure compliance of all corporate policies

  • EQA

  • Various wrenches, hammers & other hand tools
  • Support equipment
  • Gauge Parts

Safety & Security Requirements:

  • Abide by and enforce plant safety rules and regulations
  • Know evacuation routes and gathering location
