Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a day shift position at an acute care hospital in Irvine, CA, requiring a valid CA RN license and Cerner experience.

Details
  • Case Management unit within an acute care hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
  • Some scheduling flexibility may be requested
  • No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling allowed
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active CA RN license, valid and in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN Case Management experience required
  • At least 1 year of acute care experience required
  • Specialty experience must be within the 2 years preceding consideration
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
  • At least one supervisory, director, or manager reference from within the past year, from the relevant unit
  • A second reference within the past 2 years (may be from a charge nurse, co-worker, or educator)
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained
Additional Information
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers โ€” no radius restriction applies
  • No RTO (requested time off) permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
  • All time-off requests must be submitted at the start of the assignment and cannot be changed after submission
  • Candidates who were previously employed by this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler, and may require additional approval
  • First-time travelers should check with their recruiter regarding eligibility for this position
