We help businesses develop their "Human Capital" to get to the next level, stay compliant, and allocate their time, money and technology toward growth. Our HCM platform empowers more than 100,000 clients to build great teams and better manage their people while staying compliant in an ever-changing HR legislative landscape. Asure's HCM offering includes Payroll & Tax, HR, and Time & Attendance software and HR Services ranging from online compliance tools to a fully outsourced HR department.


The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day execution of HR programs, policies, and processes that foster a positive employee experience and ensure organizational compliance. This position partners with leaders and employees across the organization to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy administration, talent management, onboarding, compliance, and HR operations. The HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource for managers and employees while helping drive HR initiatives that support business objectives.


This is a hybrid position and can be based from any of Asure's hub locations such as Austin, Tampa, Nashville, Santa Ana, Rochester, or Cherry Hill.


How you will contribute

  • Respond to employee and manager questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Promote a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives and proactive communication.
  • Support performance review processes and talent assessment programs.
  • Monitor completion of performance evaluations and facilitate annual review cycles.
  • Administer and interpret company policies consistently and fairly.
  • Assist in investigations and maintain confidential employee records.
  • Maintain employee data within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement programs.
  • Support training and development programs, including compliance training and leadership development efforts.
  • Assist with organizational changes, communications, and change management activities.
  • Support implementation and optimization of HR systems and programs
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee recognition initiatives and company events.
  • Ensure employee records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with retention requirements.
  • Support audits, reporting requirements, and HR compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Help develop tools and resources that support employee growth and development.
  • Assist managers with performance improvement planning and performance-related documentation.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee performance, conduct, attendance, and workplace concerns.
  • Support employee relations matters by conducting fact-finding, documenting concerns, and partnering with HR leadership on resolutions.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Experience

  • 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, policy administration, and HR operations required.
  • Experience supporting multi-state organizations preferred.
  • HRIS experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build credibility and effective partnerships across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Certifications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
