Position Summary:

The Treasury Management Officer is responsible for developing, expanding, and servicing Treasury Management relationships with business, municipal, and nonprofit, customers and prospects. This position provides consultative guidance to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate deposit, cash management, payment, fraud prevention, and digital banking solutions, and support the growth of core deposits and fee income. The Treasury Management Officer works closely with Commercial and Agricultural Lenders, Regional and Branch Management, Treasury Management Support, Digital Banking, and other internal partners to ensure a consistent, professional, and customer-focused experience from prospecting through onboarding and ongoing relationship management.


Duties:

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of Treasury Management prospects and existing customer growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Commercial and Agricultural Lenders, Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and other bank staff to identify business, municipal, and nonprofit opportunities.
  • Conduct proactive calling efforts with customers and prospects to uncover needs related to deposits, payments, receivables, disbursements, fraud prevention, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide consultative recommendations for Treasury Management solutions, including but not limited to ACH origination, wire transfers, remote deposit capture, positive pay, ACH alert, sweeps, business digital banking, merchant services, and other related services.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, pricing recommendations, and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
  • Assist customers and prospects in understanding business deposit products, digital banking tools, Treasury Management services, implementation requirements, pricing, and risk considerations.
  • Coordinate onboarding and implementation activities with Treasury Management Support, Digital Banking, and other internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Complete or coordinate required agreements, service documentation, implementation forms, risk reviews, and internal approvals in accordance with bank policy and procedures.
  • Perform ongoing relationship management, including customer follow-up, annual reviews, service assessments, and identification of additional needs or opportunities.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, service utilization, and relationship profitability, and recommend changes or enhancements when appropriate.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Treasury Management products, deposit services, fraud trends, payment systems, industry best practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal education by providing Treasury Management guidance, product awareness, and referral support to lenders, branch teams, and other bank departments.
  • Represent First Farmers Bank & Trust professionally in the community, at customer meetings, and during business development activities.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, customer contact, and referral records as required by management.
  • Identify referral opportunities for other First Farmers Bank & Trust lines of business, including Commercial and Agricultural Lending, Retail Banking, Raymond James, and other appropriate partners.
  • Assist with customer education, financial literacy events, seminars, and other business development initiatives as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated success in proactively prospecting and calling on customers and prospects, building new relationships, and deepening existing client partnerships
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, deadlines, customer requests, and implementation activities while maintaining strong organization and attention to detail
  • Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with lenders, branch teams, operations, digital banking, compliance, and other key departments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize banking systems, digital platforms, and Treasury Management applications
  • Results-driven professional focused on relationship growth, customer retention, exceptional service delivery, and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Treasury Management experience
  • Strong understanding of business deposit products, payment systems, digital banking services, fraud prevention tools, and Treasury Management solutions
  • Prior experience working with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
