Description:

Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC, a growing Lumber and Building Materials company, is seeking a Truss Plant Supervisor. The Truss Plant Supervisor is responsible for the overall performance of the manufacturing facility, including production, quality, and safety, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Truss production output
  • Develop, review and coordinate daily production plans, while identifying and solving problems that may impact production
  • Plan and assign work schedules of associates to meet the needs of plant operations
  • Develop associates with cross-training programs to expand the skill levels of associates
  • Oversee safety training programs and conduct safety meetings to ensure adherence to all government and company policies
  • Monitor associate performance, conduct and work behavior; provide coaching and training tips to ensure adherence to company standards for quality and quantity of work
  • Perform final inspection of finished products prior to delivery
  • Communicate with the Operations Manager to provide status updates, production goals, concerns and problem resolution; participate in strategy sessions
  • Manage machinery and equipment maintenance procedures and schedules and cleanup routines for workstations to ensure that production is uninterrupted
  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers at all times
  • All other duties as assigned

Experience Required:

  • 2+ years in a wood component manufacturing operation
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role in a manufacturing facility
  • Experience in truss cutting and assembly
  • Maintenance experience of truss equipment would be helpful
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Understanding of floor and roof truss design
  • Familiar with TCT saws and Alpine-Style Gantries with automation
  • Knowledge in loading and shipping methods
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
