The Damage Billing Coordinator is responsible for executing vehicle damage assessments and managing customer billing related to fleet assets. This role reviews and investigates vehicle damage, prepares and evaluates repair estimates, collaborates with outside repair facilities and internal departments, and ensures accurate and timely billing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and has a solid understanding of automotive repair estimating and damage evaluation.

LOCATION

  • Onsite- Fort Wayne, IN

COMPENSATION

  • This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards. It consists of a base salary plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.

HOURS OF OPERATION

  • Monday through Friday 8 AM - 5 PM ET

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect returned fleet vehicles for reported damages and determine billable responsibility.
  • Prepare, review, and validate repair estimates utilizing Mitchell Estimating Software.
  • Coordinate with repair facilities and internal teams to obtain repair estimates, invoices, and supporting documentation.
  • Analyze repair costs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive estimating, claims processing, vehicle damage recovery, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently with a process driven approach, while also being adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks on time.
  • Team oriented mentality: "We win together, we lose together."
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to maintain a high level of accuracy.

NICE TO HAVE

  • In-depth knowledge of damage billing systems, particularly Mitchell or similar platforms.
