In cybersecurity, a Trojan (short for Trojan horse) is a type of malicious software that disguises itself as a legitimate program or file to trick users into installing it on their computers. Once activated, Trojans can perform a variety of harmful actions, such as stealing sensitive information, providing unauthorized access to hackers, or installing additional malware. Unlike viruses or worms, Trojans do not self-replicate but rely on users to execute them. It's important to use updated antivirus software and be cautious about downloading files or clicking on links from unknown sources to avoid Trojan infections.
