Wonderful Citrus is North America’s leading integrated grower, shipper and packer of fresh citrus, including clementines/mandarins, navel and Valencia oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruits, and other citrus varieties. Wonderful Citrus farms more than 74,000 acres of fresh citrus and has supplier relationships around the world to ensure a year-round supply. Our citrus can be found in all channels of distribution, with our consumer brands most visible in the produce department of grocery stores across the globe under our flagship consumer brands, Wonderful Halos Mandarins, Wonderful Seedless Lemons, and Wonderful Sweet Scarletts Texas Red Grapefruit.

Job Description

Here's what you'll do:

  • Works operating Skid Steer and Backhoe equipment to load and move feed inside the Feed Barn

  • Operates lawn mower, weed eater and other tools and equipment used in lawn and brush care

  • Is responsible of loading correct amount of feed into customer’s trucks

  • Monitor feed warehouse and reports any unusual activity

  • Document forms required by our Quality Manual for this step of the process and checklists of equipment used

  • Performs Preventive maintenance during and off season

  • Verifies process is operating as per company procedures and assures compliance with Q.A. guidelines and Safety Policies

  • Trains new personnel on Work Instructions, SOP’s and CSOP’s

  • Fills out paperwork pertaining to operation and sanitation

  • Perform sanitation activities during and after production

  • Follow company safety guidelines at all times

  • As groundskeeper is responsible of all cleanliness and lawn care of all green and parking areas around the plant

Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

  • Experience in Heavy Equipment Operation desired
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as company policies and MSDS
  • Ability to count and perform basic math operations
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Backhoe, skid steer, forklift and telescopic handler certification
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • 18 years of age or older
