Job description

Trinity Heads, Inc. is hiring a Sales Representative at our Navasota plant. 

Our products are an integral part of the supply chain that helps fuel our lives and our economy. Over the last 85 years, Trinity Industries has grown to over 6,000 employees strong with the common purpose of Delivering Goods, For the Good of All.

The Sales Representative position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who doesn't stray away from a challenge.  The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in learning shop operations, job planning, and inventory management, to gain a thorough understanding of our manufacturing and sales processes.

This team member will sell products and services by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects on the telephone and in person.  While focusing primarily on sales of our custom products, this person will be cross-trained to provide backup support for key functions such as job planning, shipping, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop business with new and prospective customers; negotiate pricing within established guidelines

  • Provide customers with supply and pricing information; prepare quotations

  • Maintain relationships with existing and potential customers

  • Review and secure customer orders, ensuring alignment with CVP requirements

  • Process orders, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports (including sales forecasts and recaps)

  • Expedite orders and support order fulfillment

  • Address customer service issues, including invoicing, shipping, and product concerns

  • Assist with the credit process, including gathering customer information and communicating decisions/terms

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Working knowledge of industrial (or manufacturing) part sales, marketing practices, and administration

  • Knowledge of industrial manufactured products, or ability to quickly acquire it

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to maintain accurate records

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

  • Familiarity with automated data systems from a user perspective

  • Experience with ERP systems
