What are trims?

In fashion and garment manufacturing, 'trims' refer to all the additional components used to finish or decorate a garment, excluding the main fabric. This includes items like buttons, zippers, lace, ribbons, elastic, and labels. Trims can be functional, such as zippers and velcro, or decorative, such as sequins and embroidery. The choice of trims significantly affects the appearance, quality, and functionality of the final product. Garment manufacturers carefully select trims based on design requirements and end-use of the clothing.
