Parts Trimmer/Packer
Company: Tusk Molding
Location: Leola, PA
TUSK Molding is hiring an order Parts Trimmer/Packer to support our plastics molding process. Experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly.
The Trimmer position is responsible for using basic power tools to accurately finish all raw parts to meet quality standards, ensuring the final product is safe and ready for customer assembly and use. The purpose of the Packer position is to ensure that all parts finished by the Trimming department are cleaned and used to accurately configure purchased products in boxes ready for shipment within scheduled time of arrival. We are seeking an individual willing to train and flex between both departments as production totals demand.

Schedule
5:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday with occasional Fridays as production volumes demand
To support production demands during peak season, team members who are flexible between 1st and 2nd shift are highly valued.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Follow work instructions as assigned by management to ensure orders ship timely and accurately
  • Knows job role, duties, responsibilities and ensures daily production paperwork is completed.
  • Ensures strict adherence to quality control procedures and industry best practices.
  • Ensures all orders meet quality standards ahead of packaging for shipment while supporting reduction in product waste
  • Safely and efficiently use power tools to make precision cuts and ensures all parts are cleaned and polished prior to packing for customer shipment
  • Maintains knowledge of all parts and hardware used for accurate product assembly
  • Safely and effectively packages product into boxes while ensuring accurate labeling for shipping
  • Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the working environment
  • Informs Leadership when trimming scrap bins need to be replaced, if unable to operate an industrial sit-down forklift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven ability to communicate and identify complex problems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of forklift operation and basic power tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to read, write, work with simple arithmetic, and understand basic verbal and written instructions
Working conditions
  • Plant environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Office environment with standard climate control.
  • Requires occasional stooping, bending, stretching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lifting up to 70 pounds.
