No foundry experience needed. Reliability, work ethic, and attitude required.

We are hiring an entry-level Aluminum Foundry Trainee for our sand casting foundry. This is a real career opportunity for someone who wants to learn a hands-on trade. No foundry experience is required, but this job is not easy. It is hot, dirty, physical work. The right person shows up every day, listens, works safely, keeps moving, and takes pride in doing hard work well.

Job Duties:

  • Creating sand molds for our metal castings
  • Using grinders and hand tools to clean castings
  • Lifting 75+ lbs.
  • Working in confined spaces
  • Using equipment such as hand tools, industrial metal furnaces, tow motors, blasters and overhead cranes
  • Working with a team as well as independently

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Work environment is a hot, dirty, loud environment.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body. Such as lifting, walking, standing, bending, etc.
  • Lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.80 – 23.80

Expected hours: at least 40 per week
