Job description

Building Automation Controls Engineer - Tridium Niagara
Cincinnati, OH | In-Office Position
Comfort Systems USA Ohio is growing our Building Automation & Controls Team in Cincinnati and is looking for a Building Automation Controls Engineer with hands-on experience in commercial HVAC controls and BAS/DDC systems.
This is an in-office position based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Relocation assistance is not available, and employment sponsorship is not offered for this position.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, programming and commissioning building automation systems, and working with HVAC equipment across a variety of commercial facilities.
Experience with Tridium Niagara N4 is strongly preferred, but we're also interested in strong BAS professionals with experience on other commercial building automation platforms.
What You'll Do
  • Program, configure, and support Tridium Niagara N4 and commercial BAS/DDC systems
  • Develop and implement HVAC control strategies and sequences of operation
  • Commission, troubleshoot, and optimize building automation systems
  • Integrate HVAC equipment and third-party systems using BACnet, Modbus, and related protocols
  • Work with equipment such as AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, boilers, chillers, and pumps
  • Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, contractors, and customers

What We're Looking For
  • Hands-on experience with commercial Building Automation Systems, DDC, or HVAC controls
  • Experience programming, commissioning, or troubleshooting commercial HVAC control systems
  • Knowledge of HVAC sequences of operation and commercial mechanical equipment
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara N4 preferred
  • Experience with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens, Automated Logic, Distech, Delta Controls, Honeywell, or similar BAS platforms is also valuable
  • Working knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and BAS integrations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
