  • Position Location: East Mesa Power and Main
  • Travel: Required to other East Valley locations during business hours
  • Schedule: (4x10s) or (3x10s and 2x5s) - 40 hours, all shifts M-F between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
  • Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
This position assists physicians with patient care in a medical office setting through the performance of all Medical Assistant activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Verifies accurate chart prep before patient visit.
  2. Follows established MA rooming protocol and follows all other clinical protocols based on patient diagnosis or procedure (e.g. TAVR)
  3. Accurately updates and records patient medications, allergies, pharmacies, risk factors, social history and family history in patient chart upon each visit.
  4. Obtains vital signs, EKG's and rhythm strips as needed.
  5. Stock, clean and maintains supply inventory in exam rooms and primary work areas.
  6. Cross Train for additional diagnostic testing as needed

SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION
This position is a safety-sensitive position in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes § 23-493 (9).
TRAVEL
Local travel to other Tri City Cardiology locations is required during the business day.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Medical Assistant diploma.
Current BLS certification (must be obtained in 90 days if not current)
Eligibility
All employees must be able to provide proof of their identity and their right to work in the United States.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous MA experience preferred.
Cardiac experience preferred.
Medical Assistant certification preferred.
